IntraHealth 401k Plan August 2013 Enhancements

As the IH 401k plan grows, we at IntraHealth are always looking for ways to improve the plan.  We are pleased to announce that after July, we will enhance the plan by replacing the:

  1. American Funds Balanced Fund (RLBBX) with the lower-expense version American Funds Balanced Fund (RLBCX),
  2. American Funds Target Date 2010 (RBATX) with Vanguard Wellesley Income Fund (VWINX), and
  3. John Hancock Retire Living 2010 (JLAAX) with Vanguard Wellesley Income Fund (VWINX).

All monies in the current mutual funds in participant accounts at the close of business on August 1st, 2013 will automatically be fully liquidated and the proceeds reinvested in the replacement fund mentioned above.  This will result in a 3-day period during which participants will not be able to initiate distributions, including loans, nor make any exchanges that involve these funds.

The following new funds will be added to the plan on August 1st, 2013:

While we believe that these changes can provide you with an enhanced investment opportunity, the decision to select from the 60 investment options in your plan is exclusively yours.  The plan’s financial advisor Jon Dewar (919-881-2850) and the advisors on his team at LLG Financial can help you by going over asset-allocation options based on your risk-tolerance.

You should review the prospectus and fact sheets for each fund before you invest and each new fund prospectus will be available on the participant IH 401k web site as soon as the funds go live.   The prospectus for each mutual fund has comprehensive information, including past performance, and it lists the risks of investing, including the risk of loss of money.  For each fund in your account you should consider how the investment objective matches your savings goals, investment horizon, and risk tolerance.

If you have any questions about this notice or your plan, you can call the Participant Service Center at 877-487-4299 between hours of 8:00AM and 8:00PM, U.S. Eastern Time.  You can also call the plan financial advisors about any questions:  Jon Dewar of LLG Financial can be reached at 919-881-2850 or .

Thank you, and please look for additional formal information in a separate communication toward the end of June 2013 that will include the annual fee disclosure document.
